Careers at Cornerstone Insurance
Cornerstone is an independent, family-owned Florida agency founded in 2009, with clients in all 67 Florida counties. Our licensed team compares 25+ carriers across personal lines, so the work here is matching each client with the right carrier rather than selling one company’s product.
Hiring at a glance
Why work at Cornerstone
Here the desk comes with 25+ carriers to compare and a steady stream of people who already asked for a quote.
Our agents compare 25+ carriers across personal lines — the strongest companies writing in Florida, vetted for financial stability. When a client’s situation changes, you have somewhere else to place them, so the job is finding the right fit instead of defending the only option you have.
The agency’s marketing produces a steady flow of quote requests, so producers spend their time producing. You are quoting and advising people who asked to hear from us, not cold-calling a purchased list.
Quoting and servicing run on current agency technology, with encrypted third-party document storage. No filing cabinets, no chasing paper between desks — the file you need is where the system says it is.
The same family has owned and run the agency since it opened. Decisions get made in the office by people you see every day, not handed down from a corporate layer nobody has met.
The roles we hire
We hire for two kinds of seats. Both are licensed insurance work; they differ in where the day’s energy goes.
Producers work the front end: taking agency-generated quote requests, comparing carriers, and advising Florida homeowners and families on home, auto, flood, and umbrella coverage. A typical day is conversations and quotes, not prospecting. You should be licensed or ready to get licensed in Florida — if you are partway there, tell us where you are in the process.
Service reps keep existing clients covered: answering calls, processing endorsements and policy changes, working renewals, and keeping records straight in our paperless systems. It suits people who like finishing things — a request comes in, gets handled, and the client hears back.

The team you’d be joining
Cornerstone runs on honesty and integrity — the same values clients see are the ones we hire for and hold each other to.
The team is small enough that everyone knows what everyone else is working on, and questions get answered by walking across the office rather than filing a ticket. Put faces to the names on our company page — that is the team reading your resume.

Careers FAQ
Do I need an insurance license to apply?
Producers need the appropriate Florida license, or the willingness to obtain it. For client service roles it varies by seat, so tell us where you are and we’ll talk.
Is the work remote or in the office?
Our office is in Odessa, FL, and that is where the team works together. Work arrangements for a specific role are discussed at the interview.
What lines of insurance would I work with?
Personal lines only — home, auto, flood, and umbrella, plus specialty personal lines. Cornerstone does not write commercial insurance, so the product knowledge you build stays focused on Florida personal lines.
