Giving Back
Cornerstone is a family-owned agency, and the communities we serve are where our team lives, works, and raises kids. Here’s a part of our story that has nothing to do with policies: the turkey drives we’ve coordinated for Metropolitan Ministries, the schools we’ve sponsored, and the children’s organizations we’ve supported over the years.
Giving back at a glance
The Westchase WOW turkey drive
For years, Cornerstone sponsored and coordinated the Westchase WOW Metropolitan Ministries Food Drive. Ahead of the holidays, we collected frozen turkeys from clients, neighbors, and local businesses, then delivered them to Metropolitan Ministries so they reached Tampa Bay families in need.
The drive started small — the first collection was 25 turkeys, loaded into the back of one family SUV. As more of the community joined in, a single season’s collection grew past a hundred birds — roughly 1,500 pounds of turkey on one trailer — and the running total across the drives reached into the hundreds.

The schools we’ve sponsored
Much of our giving has gone to kids. Over the years, Cornerstone’s Business Partner sponsorships supported four area elementary schools — and, on the ballfields, Keystone Little League.

Beyond the drives and school sponsorships, Cornerstone’s donations over the years have gone to organizations doing serious work for children and families.
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — research and treatment for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
- The Children’s Home — care and support for children and families in Tampa Bay.
- Quantum Leap Farm — equine-assisted therapy for veterans and others working through physical and emotional challenges.
The Schwarzkopf Memorial Sporting Clays Classic
Cornerstone was also a proud supporter of the General H. Norman Schwarzkopf Memorial Sporting Clays Classic, a charity sporting-clays event benefiting The Children’s Home.
